Cloquet Public Library Book Club: “The Girl in Building C” by Mary Krugerud

Join us for one of our Library Book Clubs!
We will read and discuss “The Girl in Building C” by Mary Krugerud.
It is a fascinating true story of a 16-year-old girl who was diagnosed with TB and spent 3 years in a state sanatorium in Walker, Minnesota, from 1943 to 1945. She was a gifted and prolific writer of letters to home. These letters are included and annotated by the author and give a glimpse of life in mid-century Minnesota as well as the treatment of this contagious disease.
