During this class you will be introduced to the Gudbrandsdal style of rosemaling. Gudbrandsdal style is characterized by twisting and folding leaves of the acanthus plant, a common design ornament. In class we will go over the basic technique and history of this decorative style. We will practice the fundamental painting process using oil paint on paper. All painting materials and basic Gudbrandsdal patterns will be supplied by the instructor.
