When we live with meaning and purpose, we feel better, we live more boldly, we’re happier and our world gets the gifts of our talents, passions and interests. This presentation will cover a few key strategies that can help us live this way–life review, healing the past, clarifying our positive core, envisioning our new story, and claiming our eldership.
In life review, we take a good look at our past with gratitude. Healing the past might include letting go, grieving or forgiveness. Clarifying our positive core helps us prioritize the values, gifts and passions that are most important to us. Envisioning our new story and claiming our eldership moves us forward on the path we choose to live with wholeness and heart.
Gary Boelhower, PhD will be presenting this month. Gary is professor emeritus at The College of St. Scholastica where he continues to teach part time in health humanities and theology and religious studies. He has published 4 books of poetry and his collection Marrow, Muscle Flight won the Midwest Book Award. He’s also published 2 non-fiction books focused on wise decision-making and listening to the inner teacher, as well as many articles for scholarly journals. He recently published his first children’s book A Common Thirst which was a finalist for the Book Excellence Award, the Next Generation Indie Award and the National Indie Excellence Award.
