Northern Spotlight Theater and Douglas County Historical Society are proud to present an evening of One Act Plays! Come and join us for a chance to sip a cup of tea along with some crazy characters, murderous old maidens, and some Shakespearean literary lassies!
We are presenting 3 different “One Act Plays!” all in one show! The first is a short and sweet snippet of the literary classic “Alice and Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll. This version of “A Mad Tea Party” is written by Ruth Giordano, and Directed by Sheryl Beeman. Next we will present “Anybody for Tea?” which is a chilling and comedic short story written by C. B. Gilford, directed by Miranda Stachowicz. We will then have a 15 minute intermission – in which you can grab a cup of tea! Lastly, we will enjoy hearing from Shakespeare’s most famous women “In Juliet’s Garden” by Judy Elliot, also directed by Miranda. We will be treated to lovely chamber music in between each One Act, played by Scott Beeman!
You can choose to enjoy a fancier tea table experience, or just to come for the show. We hope you will join us!
