From the mouths of blondes: In a world where boredom plagues society, two fascinating specimens join powers to rend the aforementioned boredom asunder … with rock, pop, axes and harpoons. Testosterone-fueled, Iron-Range safety hazard Steve Solkela meets Duluth musical socialite Kaylee Matuszak in this box-squeezin’, string-pluckin’, song-beltin’ musical adventure. It’s sure to clear your dendrites of gunk and cause problems on purpose. With a guitar, an accordion and some powerful vocal harmony, Solkela and Matuszak are working on the debut Berserk Blondes! album, expecting a spring 2024 release.
PORT CITY LIMIT:
Rocking the Twin Ports and surrounding areas since 2017, Port City Limit is a bar band aiming for arena rock vibes. Drummer Marty White has even breathed fire onstage a time or two. The group takes pride in being called “the loudest band in town” and has a fan club dubbed “The Drinking Team,” complete with merch. Guitarists Nick Stenstrup and Kaleb Montgomery, bassist John Zmyślony, and White have a broad repertoire of crowd-pleasing rock, blues and funk covers ranging from Bachman Turner Overdrive to the Raconteurs to Stevie Ray Vaughan to Stevie Wonder. They also sprinkle in originals and have recorded two singles to date
