Summer Sparkler

LOON’s Summer Sparkler is the perfect way to say farewell to the past season of opera, and to look ahead to the next one! This concert-fundraiser-picnic has become a favorite date on the LOON calendar.
The event takes place at the Historic Scott House in Carlton, MN, with bus service available to and from Duluth. Grounds open at 5:30pm, concert starts at 6:30pm.
Lyric Opera of the North is delighted to welcome back Jennifer LeDoux and Wesley Frye for a concert of favorites from musical theater, opera, and pop. Jenny and Wes will be joined by last year’s Sparkler scene-stealer, Bill Munson.
Picnic Supper Boxes are available for pre-order for $22 each.
Food order deadline is 4:00pm on Friday, August 2.

1. Turkey, Bacon, & Swiss Sandwich
2. Cranberry & Goat Cheese Salad
3. Hummus wrap (V)
4. Roast Beef & Cheddar Sandwich
All menu choices include a side of chips, fresh fruit, and a dessert.

Pickup/Dropoff Locations:
4:45 depart Blue Stone Apartments.
5:00 depart Sheraton Downtown.
5:15 depart Perkins West.
5:50 arrive at The Historic Scott House
After the concert (approximately 8pm), the bus will head back to Duluth!
Seating:
We’ll have lots of chairs set up for the concert, but if you have a favorite lawn chair or blanket to bring, please do!
