The Role of Genetics in Cancer Development and Treatment

June 11, 2024 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm CDT

While Genetics can play a role in developing cancer, thanks to breakthroughs in research, we can now also use genetics to predict cancer’s progression and create tailored treatments for patients. Genetics can also be used for people with a cancer diagnosis or family history of cancer to learn about their risks of developing cancer and personalize their screening plans.
Join St. Luke’s Regional Cancer Center to learn from an expert panel about how recent advancements have led to better prevention and treatment, as well as the exciting future of this field.
Our 3-member panel includes:
– Ben Anderson, PharmD, BOCP | Pharmacist in Charge, Infusion Therapy Clinic | PGY2 Oncology Residency Program Director
– Roberto Fernandez, D.O., MPH | Oncologist | St. Luke’s Regional Cancer Center
– Delaney Pease, MS, CGC | St. Luke’s Genetic Counselor
