It’s spring cleanup time for your yard, your medicine cabinet, and your paint shelf! Join us for an open house celebration at WLSSD’s Courtland Street facilities for a day of education, giveaways, and specialized disposal events at each of WLSSD’s Courtland Street Facilities.
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITY
— Medicine Cabinet Cleanout: today only, bring your expired or unwanted medications to be safely and confidentially disposed of – for free! Bring prescriptions or over-the-counter medications in their original containers if possible (cross out or peel off personal information if desired) or sealed in a clear plastic bag labeled with the medication name. Businesses should contact the Clean Shop in advance of dropping off medications.
— Shop the Free Product Reuse Center for paint, stain, and other products to jump-start your spring home renovations.
— HHW always accepts household paint, automotive fluids, chemicals, pesticides, fluorescent bulbs, and medical sharps for disposal at no cost.
YARD WASTE COMPOST SITE
— Tour the compost site with an environmental program coordinator! (Tour details coming soon)
— Drop off your leaves and garden waste for free and brush, sod, logs, and dirt for a nominal fee.
